1. Make sure you empty the fuel tank for winter storage. Regular fuel with ethanol may damage your carburetor and rubber seals.

2. If you usually use mixed fuel, you can run the tank dry and then add some STIHL Motomix. After you’ve added the STIHL Motomix, run the machine for a few seconds to ensure the fuel is in the carburetor. Then go ahead and switch it off. It’s now good to store for the winter!

3. It’s a smart idea to give your machine a good, deep cleaning. Be sure to clean the air filter, spark plug, and cylinder fins. Also, moving metal parts should be lightly lubricated with oil.

4. When it’s time to store your machines, ensure they are kept in a dry, frost-free space if possible.
